Jabir Bin Abdullah narrated:
“Rasulullah S.A.W. always teaches us Istikhara, and recommended us to do Istikhara whenever you get confused.”

How to perform Salate Istikhara?
Salat-e-Istikhara is one of the most valuable gifts from Allah. Before praying this prayer, you should also clear your mind and heart. Clearing your mind and aiming to get pure beneficial guidance is the core step for Istikhara. One must also take good care of its hygiene. You have to pray, Istikhara, with an open and clean heart. In Islam, no single worship is accepted without intention (niyyah), so your brain and spirit must be fully prepared for prayer and its results. Sincere repentance is one of the most important etiquettes in Istikhara.

- One has to pray two raka’at payers. Reciting Surah Al-Kafiroon in the first raka’at and surah Al-Ikhlas in the second after Surah Fatiha is profitable.
- After prayer, one must raise their hand and start praying.
- After remembering Allah, send salutes to Prophet S.A.W. It is also profitable to recite Tashahhud.
- After that, recite Due-e-Istikhara with Al-hamadshareef at the start and end of Dua.
- When you reach (الْأَمْرَهَذَاأَنَّتَعْلَمُكُنْتَإِنْاللَّهُمَّ )You should name your matter for which you are seeking Istikhara.
- Name the matter should be taken twice, once while mentioning Khair in dua and second while mentioning the Shar because it will be more profitable.
- After completing the Istikhara, send a salutation to Holy Prophet S.A.W. and leave the matter in Allah’s Hand Because if you keep a firm belief, everything will be in your best.
Due-e-Istikhara with translation
“O Allah, I am here for your guidance, and I also want your blessings because You are the most powerful and I don’t have any abilities. You are omniscient, and I do not know, and you have knowledge everything. Oh, Allah! If in Your Knowledge that this action (which I intended to do) is better for my religion and for my deen, then make it simple and better for me. And if In Your Knowledge this action is bad for me, bad for my religion and for here (in this world) and the hereafter, then take that thing far from me and give patience and satisfaction.
